CHIMNEY DOCTORS HAS THE ONLY PATENT ANSWER
Chimney Doctors was recently issued a United States Patent for a unique chimney design. This Patent (#5,832,682) was issued to solve regular problems of moisture attacking the masonry chimney structure above the roofline. This problem in the Milwaukee area has grown significantly over the past 5 years as higher efficient furnaces installed to replace older units. The ATTIC MOISTURE SEAL is a designed feature which during the reconstruction process of a new or rebuilt chimney, a seal is placed to prevent moisture from the furnace or hot water heater from attacking the new bricks. In the past, the only method known to solve this problem was to install an expensive chimney liner, which could cost as much as $2,000–$3,000. With this ATTIC MOISTURE SEAL in place, Chimney Doctors is able to save a customer essentially all of the cost that would of otherwise been necessary for a chimney liner. William Hussel, President submitted the request for the Patent approximately 3 years ago. Mr. Hussel stated that securing a United States Patent is a very long and expensive process, but that it was well worth the time and effort. He has built his business on the belief that any method that will help the consumer save money and keep their home safe is a mater of great importance.
